The House
The main house on the Tenuta di Roscetti estate was originally built as a Convent around the year 1100, but transformed into a fortified castle during medieval times, when it was owned by the Marsili-Libelli family who originated from Siena.
The turrets above the main gate were added during this period.
During the 18th century, a daughter from the Marsili-Libelli family married a son from the Vivarelli-Colonna
family who owned much of the surrounding land.
The young couple were gifted the house by the family. To this day, the house continues to be owned by the family.

During the 17th and 18th centuries, much work was done which included a large extension and it became the blueprint of the building it is today.
For a period during the Second World War, the house was occupied by German troops and was bombed as a
result.
Much of the house had to be re-built and in fact, the Grandparents, and then the parents, of the current owner, during the 1950 and 1960s made many improvements, making this beautiful building as comfortable as it is today.

Entering the main house through the courtyard and you are presented with a beautiful reception room. The chef’s kitchen at the rear leads out onto a large garden area.
An impressive dining-room would be fit for any important occasion, whilst there is also a self-contained and newly-renovated apartment with two bedrooms and kitchen on the first floor.
The main staircase takes you upstairs where a large lounge is equally comfortable in summer and, with a huge open fireplace, in winter.
Several bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the first floor each with beautiful handmade linens adorning the beds and sofas.
